POSA-CUT ISSUES CONFLICT MINERALS DECLARATION
Posa-Cut secures written statements from suppliers
May 2014, Farmington Hills, MI - Posa-Cut Corporation has secured written statements from suppliers confirming their compliance with the declaration against using Conflict Minerals in manufacturing products. To discuss this matter further contact Posa-Cut at 248-474-5620.
On August 22, 2012, SEC adopted a final rule to implement Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Act. The rule requires publicly-held companies to disclose whether their products contain conflict minerals: cassiterite, columbite-tantalite, gold and walframite and derivatives thereof, limited to tin, tantalum, tungsten, or gold (3TG) originating from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) or specific adjoining countries.
“In order to properly respond to questions from our customers regarding the presence of Conflict Minerals in any of our products, and if such Conflict Minerals are present whether they come from a Covered Country, Posa-Cut Corporation asked each of our material suppliers and coating suppliers to provide us with a statement on this issue,†said Kevin O’Brien, president of Posa-Cut Corporation.
“All of these suppliers responded in writing and stated that either they did not have Conflict Minerals in the product they supply to Posa-Cut or if there are Conflict Minerals present in the product it is necessary to the functionality or production of that product and that no Conflict Minerals com e from a Covered Country.â€
